What are the experiences and attitudes of health professionals about Orthorexia Nervosa?

Researchers at The University of New South Wales, BodyMatters Australasia, Maastricht University in the Netherlands and NorthBay Healthcare in the US are seeking volunteer research participants to learn about the experiences and attitudes of health professionals about the potential ‘health food eating disorder’, Orthorexia Nervosa (ON).

Would the research project be a good fit for me?
The study might be a good fit for you if you:
• Are a psychiatrist registered as a fellow with The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP,https://www.ranzcp.org/Membership/About-membership.aspx), psychologist registered with the Psychology Board of Australia (PsyBA, http://www.psychologyboard.gov.au/Accreditation.aspx), Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) registered with the Dietitians Association of Australia (DAA, http://daa.asn.au/), Registered Nutritionist (RNutr) with the Nutrition Society of Australia (NSA,http://www.nsa.asn.au/), Fellow of Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP, http://www.racgp.org.au/Home), a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP, https://www.rnzcgp.org.nz/) or an alternative appropriate qualification as assessed by the research team,
• have experience (previous and/or current) working with clients with feeding and eating disorders, e.g. Anorexia Nervosa,
• currently live and practice in Australia or New Zealand.
What would happen if I took part in the research project?
If you decide to take part, you would:
• Fill in an online questionnaire that would take approximately 30 minutes to complete. There are three sections: about you and your practice, your experience of clinical feeding and eating disorders, and your views on ON. Any identifying information in your responses would remain confidential, i.e. only non-identifying summary data will be used in publishing the results of the study.
• Be able to be informed of the study’s results upon its completion.
Will I be paid to take part in the research project?
You may be reimbursed for your time if you win one of the three prizes that are available for participants who complete the questionnaire.
