The Peter Beumont Eating Disorders Service at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital is a public tertiary service for adults with eating disorders in NSW. The services offer a stepped model of care and include:

Peter Beumont Unit – a 9-bed inpatient ward dedicated to the treatment of eating disorders including medical stabilisation, psychiatric assessment, nutritional rehabilitation, and psychological therapy, in both individual and group formats.

Peter Beumont Day Program – a day patient program providing 6 hours of intensive treatment for 4 days a week, consisting of supervised and supported meals, group therapy, and containment of eating disorder symptoms.

Eating Disorder Ambulatory Clinic –  provides a consultative psychiatric and dietetic service of assessment and review for community mental health and primary care clinicians.

Eating Disorder Outreach Service - currently undergoing development. The aim of this service will be to provide a clinical consultation-liaison function to support clinicians managing patients with eating disorders at a local level across NSW.
