Eating Disorder Inpatient Management
‘Eating Disorder Inpatient Management’ training provides you with a practice based introduction to managing a person with an eating disorder in a hospital setting. This training consists of 3 courses; Foundations, Children & Adolescents and Adults.
This training provides relevant professional development in the area of Eating Disorders suitable for Medical Practitioners, Nurses, Dietitians, Psychologists and other allied health professionals.
This training can be completed at your own pace. The Foundations course will take approximately 1 hour to complete. The Children & Adolescent course and Adult course will each take approximately 4 hours to complete.
This online course includes expert videos (conducted by renowned Australian and international specialists in the field, as well as feedback from sufferers and their families), interactive exercises, quizzes and resources.
The Foundations course will equip you with an understanding of eating disorders and their function, the starvation response and the importance of a collaborative approach to treatment.
The Children & Adolescents and Adults course will provide you with an understanding of identifying, screening and assessing people with eating disorders; developing medical and nutrition treatment goals; effectively communicating and engaging with a person with an eating disorder; identifying strategies for addressing challenging eating disorder behaviours; including family and carers in treatment and transitioning a person from hospital to community care.
