  • 8 beds on an adolescent medical unit
  • Medical treatment and re-feeding program

Type of Service: Outpatient Family Therapy

  • Family therapy for treatment of people with eating disorders
  • Specialist team of Clinical Psychologists, Family Therapists, Psychiatrists and Social Workers delivering Maudsley Family Therapy treatment

Type of Service: Eating Disorder Intensive Program for Adolescents (EDIPA)

  • A state wide service offering comprehensive multidisciplinary care.
  • Specially designed to for adolescents who have not progressed with previous treatment by addressing specific barriers
  • Increase capacity to cope with distress and the challenge of eating
  • Family participation is an essential
  • Daily attendance by the young person throughout the week and regular meetings for families for up to one school term
  • It includes:
    • Supported meals
    • Individual, group, family and multifamily therapy
    • School program with transition to appropriate post program options
    • Multidisciplinary team
    • Family Based Treatment
    • Dialectical Behavioural Therapy
    • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
    • Loughborough Eating Disorders Activity Therapy Program
    • Cognitive Remediation Therapy as standard
  • Multi Family Group Program is an engaging and activity-based format for treating Anorexia Nervosa in young people. During MFG up to 8 families meet for a 4-day intensive workshop and then for 6 single workshop days over the following 9 months with a small team of therapists and medical staff. MFG can be utilised as a standalone intervention to compliment current treatment in the community
