GROUP THERAPY FOR PEOPLE WITH BINGE EATING CONCERNS

    Who
    Adults 18 years and older who acknowledge that they have a binge eating problem and are currently motivated to actively engage with professional psychological help
    When
    The program runs for 8 consecutive weeks, for 2 hours each week at the ACAP Psychology Clinic
    Details
    OBJECTIVES
    - Learn about what causes and maintains binge eating
    - Decrease frequency of binge eating
    - Replace strict dieting and binge eating with regular eating
    - Develop more positive body image and improve self-esteem
    - Learn to be mindful of negative or strong emotions and stressors that may trigger binge eating
    - Develop alternative methods to cope with negative or strong emotions and stressors
